THRISSUR: LDF convenor A Vijayaraghavan said that his remarks against Ramya Haridas, the UDF candidate of Alathur, was only a political one. He said this while responding to the words of Minister A K Balan that the controversial statement affected polls badly.
Vijayaraghavan said my remarks against Ramya was only a political one. I don’t think A K Balan will say against me. Should ask him why he made such a remark against me, Vijayaraghavan said.
Meantime, Ramya said that she is happy to know that the CPM has realised that the remarks were wrong. She also said that she didn’t get justice from the women’s commission.
Minister A K Balan had stated that Vijayaraghavan’s statement affected polls. Balan had asserted that his remarks against Ramya badly affected the defeat of P K Biju. But Vijayaraghavan did not intend to insult her in any form, he added.
