No differences with P J Joseph: Francis George

KOTTAYAM: “I have no differences of opinion with P J Joseph. I have once gone through the same mental tension which Joseph Sir is going through now. Finally, I happened to leave the party and form another Kerala Congress,” Janathipathya Kerala Congress Chairman Francis George told.

“The row over Kerala Congress M Chairman post that had been a party secret is now in the public domain. Since it is their internal issue, I’m not reacting. It is not a right thing to interfere. If the Kerala Congress had shed its big-brother attitude and had jointly worked with others in the party by giving them due respect, it would have been a prominent party in Kerala,” he said.
Other Kerala Congress parties are cautiously watching the turn of events in the Mani Group. There was clamour for chariman’s post following the demise of K M Manu. Party General Secretary Joy Abraham’s stand is that there is nothing wrong in making P J Jospeh the temporary chairman of the party. Though it was a constitutional step, Mani’s son Jose K Mani had taken exception to the decision.
It was Joy Abraham who informed district representatives about this via a circular. The official group of the Kerala Congress approached the court, out of the fear that chairman might have been selected in the K M Mani commemorative meeting held in Thiruvananthapuram on Wednesday.
