Azhikode says ready for compromise with Mohanlal

Friday, October 7, 2011: Veteran Malayalam writer and renowned orator Sukumar Azhikode has expressed his willingness to bury the hatchet with Mohanlal, saying that Mohanlal need not apologise to him publicly.
“I make it very clear that my ego will not be a barrier to ending the problems we have had in the past. There need be no public apology from him at all. All that needs to be done is to meet each other, privately,” Azhikode said.
Earlier, Azhikode had criticized Mohanlal saying that he should now limit himself to the roles that match his age as he has turned quite old now and stated that Mohanlal should stop endorsing jewellery to earn money.
Mohanlal replied back saying that he had taken the statements of Azhikode as joke of some aged uncle. He also said that ‘hallucination’ could be the reason of Azhikode stating all those. Mohanlal further said that Azhikode is no one to decide or suggest whether he should stop acting or no.

He, Azhikode Sir, is no more when i write this...this morning at 6.30 he breathed last.
Lot of controversies...but he stood as a Gibralter in Malayalam Cultural World...and in Social forum...a Great Orator, writer, critic...a great critic of late first Jnanapeed award winner G. Sankarakurp (not even a high school graduate!). But a great scholar...a bachelor, an ardent follower of Gandhism...simple life...but a misunderstood person for many .....especially his one time fiance...of course all these r gathered from reading his writings, books and specially the news from the hospital from where he was for the past weeks. And the fact is .. last evening Mr. Mohanlal has visited him in his unconcious condition and this morning he died...may be a last visitor whom there was some controversies....Sir, my prnamam and pray god to give u eternal peace.
