Friday, November 18, 2011: The state government has on Friday appointed IG Tomin J Thachankary, as the managing director of Market Fed. The appointment was given when various probes against him are progressing, including the foreign trip.He was suspended from service when NIA probe was progressing against him. As the suspension term ended in June, he resumed duty at the police headquarters in Thiruvananthapuram but was not given any responsibility.
The finance department flayed against giving salary without any job. So the government decided to appoint him to an important post.
