Sunday, November 27, 2011: The LDF has called for a 12 hour hartal tomorrow in Idukki seeking action on Mullaperiyar issue. The hartal will be observed from morning 6 till 6 in the evening.Water Resources Minister PJ Joseph and Revenue Minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan will reach New Delhi on Monday to apprise Prime Minister Manmohan Singh about the state’s concern over the Mullaperiyar issue.
Meanwhile, the water level at the Mullaperiyar dam touched 135.8 feet on Sunday morning as the water flow to the dam has increased following heavy rains in the region.
