Wednesday, 23 November 2011: Water resources minister PJ Joseph said that the water level in Mullaperiyar dam must be lowered as the situation is serious there.
The SC-appointed high power committee must hear the experts from Rourkee IIT who held a study on the dam. He was speaking at a press meet here on Wednesday. He said if Idukki dam too is damaged, disaster management activities are of no help. He said Kerala is ready to give water to Tamil Nadu and the government is ready to enter into an agreement with TN, minister added.
