B.Tech in Indian Navy    

The Indian Navy offers an opportunity for young men who pass Plus Two to do the B.Tech. course and get an executive job. Applications have been invited from unmarried boys to join the Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, under the Plus Two cadet-entry (B.Tech.) scheme.

Cusat-CAT 2012 on May 5,6    

 

The Cochin University of Science and Technology will hold its Common Admission Test (Cusat-CAT 2012) on May 5 and 6 across the country for admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, including B.Tech., five-year integrated M.Sc. photonics, five-year BA LL.B., two-year M.Sc., LL.M., and MBA courses.   Applications for admission to MBA course    

The College of Agricultural Management under G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar, has invited applications for admission to a two-year, full-time MBA (agri business) course. Selection is on the basis of the score in the Common Admission Test (CAT) in 2011, a group discussion, and an interview. Last date: December 31. www.cabm.ac.in.

  IIST invites applications for B.Tech programmes    

The Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST) at Valiyamala in Thiruvananthapuram, which functions under the Department of Space of the Union government, has invited applications for a national-level admission test, ISAT 2012), for regular, residential B.Tech. programmes in aerospace engineering, avionics, and physical science.

  ISAT admission test on April 21    

 

The Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology, Valiyamala, Thiruvananthapuram, has invited applications for admission to B.Tech. courses in aerospace engineering, avionics, and physical sciences. Selection is based on the IIST Admission Test (ISAT 2012) to be held from 9 a.m. to 12 noon on April 21.

  IIA SCREENING TEST    

The Indian Institute of Astrophysics (IIA), Bangalore, functioning under the Department of Science and Technology of the Union government, has invited applications from graduates in science, engineering, and technology for admission to an integrated M.Sc.-Ph.D. programme in astronomy and astrophysics and an integrated M.Tech.-Ph.D. programme in astronomical instrumentation.

 MAT on Dec 4    

The All India Management Association will conduct the next paper-based Management Aptitude Test (MAT) from 10 am to 12.30 pm on December 4. The online MAT will be held from December 10. Graduates in any discipline and final-year degree students may apply for the test. Online registration can be done up to November 12.

   IITs invites applications for JEE 2012    

The Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) have invited applications for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE 2012) to be held on April 8 for admission to undergraduate courses--B.Tech, B.Pharm., B.Des, BS, integrated M.Tech., dual-degree M.Tech., integrated M.Sc., and M.Pharm. courses-- conducted at the 15 institutes, the Institute of Technology of Banaras Hindu University, and the Indian School of Mines University, Dhanbad.

  Sainik School admission test    

Sainik School at Kazhakuttam in Thiruvananthapuram has invited applications from boys for an entrance examination to be held on January 8 in Kozhikode, Ernakulam, Kottayam, Wayanad, Kazhakuttam, and Kavaratti in Lakshadweep for admission to classes VI (65 seats) and IX (6 seats).

IIA invites applications for admission to PG courses   

The Indian Institute of Astrophysics, Bangalore, has invited applications for admission to integrated M.Sc.-Ph.D. and M.Tech.-Ph.D. and Ph.D. propgrammes.       UGC-NET    

The University Grants Commission (UGC) will hold the National Eligibility Test (NET) for Junior Research Fellowship and Lectureship in 78 arts and humanities subjects, including languages, at 74 university centres across the country on December 24. In Kerala, the University of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram; the Cochin University of Science and Technology, Kochi; and the University of Calicut, Tenhipalam, are the test centres.

 

   ISAT 2012 on April 21    

The Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), Valiyamala, Thiruvananthapuram, will hold its national-level admission test, ISAT 2012, from 9 am to 12 noon on April 21 for admission to four-year, full-time B.Tech courses in aerospace engineering, avionics, and physical science. There are 157 seats. Application can be submitted online on www.iist.ac.in from November 1. In Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram and Kozhikode are the test centres.

  Banking Management    

The Symbiosis School of Banking Management, Pune, has invited applications for admission to an MBA banking management programme. The two-year, full-time programme can lead to a career in finance. Admission is through the Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP). Graduates with minimum 50 per cent marks (45 per cent for those belonging to the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes) in the degree course and those in the final year of the degree course may apply.

   Online AIEEE 2012 between May 7-25    

The online All India Engineering/Architecture Entrance Examination (AIEEE 2012) will be held between May 7 and 25, 2012 across the country. In Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram and Ernakulam will be the test centres. The offline examination is on April 29.

    Mudra Institute    

  The Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad, has invited applications for an entrance test to be held at select centres in India for admission to its PGDM (communications) programme for 2012-14. The two-year full-time residential programme, leading to the postgraduate diploma in management, aims at developing high-calibre professionals.

  Kerala Entrance from April 23-26    

The Kerala entrance examinations for admission to professional degree courses for the next academic year will be conducted from April 23 to 26. Paper I physics and chemistry of the engineering entrance examination will be held on the first day and paper II mathematics the next day. Paper I chemistry and physics of the entrance examination for medical and agriculture courses will be held on April 25 and paper II biology on April 26.

       IIT-JAM    

 Applications have been invited for the February 12 Joint Admission Test (JAM) for admission to M.Sc., Joint M.Sc.-Ph.D., M.Sc.-Ph.D. dual degree, M.Tech., and MCA programmes at the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). Applications can be submitted online and offline from September 22. The IIT, Bombay is organising the test this year.

   BSc nursing course    

Applications have been invited for a national-level entrance test to be held in January for admission to the B.Sc. nursing course at the nursing college under the Armed Forces Medical College, Pune, and the diploma course in general nursing and midwifery at various Army nursing schools.

GATE    

Applications have been invited for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) to be held online on January 29 and offline on February 12. The Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, is conducting the test.

 Applications invited for MSc, MLT    

The Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh, has invited applications for admission to M.Sc., M.Sc. MLT, DM, MCh, Master of Hospital Administration, and Ph.D. programmes. Last date: October 4. Details can be had from pgimer.nic.in.

  XLRI Jamshedpur invites applications for PG certificate programmes    

XLRI Jamshedpur has invited applications for admission to its postgraduate certificate programmes in business management, human resource management, logistics and supply chain management, sales and marketing management.

    PH.D. admission  

The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Thiruvananthapuram (CET Campus), has invited applications from highly motivated students for admission to its Ph.D. programmes offered in biological sciences, chemical sciences, physical sciences, and mathematical sciences beginning from January 2012. Master's degree holders with at least 60 per cent marks in biological sciences, chemical sciences, mathematics, statistics, physical sciences and related fields can apply.

   Ayurveda courses    

The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations has invited applications for an entrance examination to be held on September 18 (Sunday) for admission to postgraduate degree courses in Ayurveda (MD -Ay) for the year 2011-12, conducted in Government Ayurveda Colleges at Thiruvananthapuram, Tripunnithura, Kannur, and VPSV Ayurveda College, Kottackal.

PG Diploma course in wood and panel products technology

         TIFR entrance test    

The Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Mumbai, has invited applications for a national level entrance examination to be held on January 18, 2012 for admission to the following courses: M.Sc. biology: The course is conducted at TIFR Mumbai.      SET 2011    

The LBS Centre for Science and Technology has invited applications for the State Eligibility Test (SET 2011) to be held on September 25 at all district headquarters in Kerala.
