Chandy confers award on C K Menon
KOZHIKODE: Qatar-based Behzad Group of Companies' Chairman and Managing Director C K Menon was conferred with the coveted P V Sami Memorial Industrial and Socio Cultural Award by Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy here today. Chandy underlined the need for encouraging young entrepreneurs aimed at the overall development of the state. He also recollected the contributions made by leading industrialist P V Sami, Founder of the KTC Group of Companies to the sector. The function at the Tagore Centenary Hall, presided over by Overseas Indian Affairs Minister Vayalar Ravi, were attended by, among others, Senior Congress leader M K Raghavan, MP, Kozhikode Mayor A K Premajam, Mathrubhumi Managing Editor P V Chandran, noted industrialist P V Gangadharan, CPI (M) leader A Pradeep Kumar, MLA and District Collector K V Mohan Kumar. Later, Dr P K Ramachandran inaugurated P V Sami Memorial meet presided over by Dr K Moidu.
