Man threatens to kill Speaker, held

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Museum police arrested a 42-year-old man on charge of threatening to kill Speaker G Karthikeyan. Sub Inspector J Pradeep said the suspect, Ajith, 42, of Kachani, had called the Speaker’s office from a landline and threatened to kill him. He said the man seemed to be peeved that the Speaker did not give him a recommendation letter for some suspect cause. The SI said Ajith was also involved in a financial fraud case. The accused would be produced before the court on Thursday.
