ALAPPUZHA: The sea turned rough along the coast of Alappuzha. High waves lashed the shores of Purakkad, Punnappra and Ambalappuzha areas from midnight. People residing in nearby areas have been evacuated. Minor casualties have been reported after some houses have been submerged in water.
