Tanker explosion: Dependents of victims to get ten lakh aid and govt job

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The cabinet meet has decided to grant an aid of ten lakh rupees to the dependents of those who lost their lives in the LPG tanker explosion in Kannur.

They will also be given government jobs and those who do not want the job shall be given family pension.

An aid of five lakh rupees will be given to those who suffered more than 40% burns and those whose houses were destroyed shall be provided with new ones.

The cabinet meet has also directed the chief secretary to discuss with the IOC about alternate methods for the distribution of gas.
