THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Jail DGP Alexander Jacob’s no-holds-barred talk at the press meet on Thursday can be seen as a ‘charge sheet’ against the government. And therefore, Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan has no right to continue as Home minister, CPM politburo member Kodiyeri Balakrishnan has opined.
Kodiyeri said: “The DGP has made a right move. In the history of Kerala, its jails have not gone through such a pitiable condition. The Home minister’s attempt has been to save his face by making jail officials the scapegoats. To save his image, he is also making an attempt to transfer the jail DGP."
“The Facebook controversy should be scientifically examined. The conversation between an accused in the T P murder case and a TV channel representative should also be clinically examined,” he added.
