THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala and Excise Minister K Babu have allegedly accepted bribe from bar owners to open the closed bars, alleged opposition leader V S Achuthanandan. He asked Ministers Chennithala, Babu and K M Mani to resign in the bar bribe case and face trial. He said this while inaugurating the secretariat dharna staged by the LDF seeking the resignation of Mani.
Biju Ramesh, bar hotel association working president, had given statement that the two congress ministers were given bribe. The two are Chennithala and Babu and they should be questioned when they reach their own constituencies. However, they should not be physically attacked, said VS.
How can the vigilance question Oommen Chandy and Ramesh Chennithala when they are holding the ministerial posts? So, the two should resign. The government under the leadership of Chandy is neck deep in corruption, he said.
