Krishna Pillai Memorial: Court asks accused to surrender

KOCHI: The Kerala High Court directed the accused in connection with the attack on P Krishna Pillai Memorial to surrender before the investigating official within ten days. The court passed the order rejecting the anticipatory bail plea of CPM Kannarkadu local committee former secretary and member P Sabu, second accused in the case, third, fourth and fifth accused--DYFI activists Deepu, Rajesh Rajan and CPM activist Pramod. The court pointed out that the role of the accused in the incident is mentioned in the case diary.

The Director General of Prosecution informed the court that probe in the case is progressing and full statement should be taken. The DGP requested the court not to grant them bail.

The government informed the court that the CPI (M) has expressed satisfaction in the investigation and the party has approved the role of the accused in the case.
