The darling of Malayalam cinema, Kavya Madhavan, has kept off the screen for more than a year. Now, she is making a comeback through films such as She Taxi and Akashavani. Moreover, Kavya has become more selective. She thinks story writers are working without realising the fact that the “cinema business” has changed.
“I started to become selective as the scripts I used to get lacked the knack to arouse curiosity in people. The script writers of today seem to be living in 80s and 90s. These days I rarely come across characters which make me pining for doing that. Former days it was not like that,” says Kavya.
Kavya says people like to watch films that lowers their mental stress and they don’t like to see that lag. For the time being, she has no plans to act in non-Malayalam films, though she has already done three Tamil films.
