Chandrabose murder: CBI will probe if kin demand, says Chennithala

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Chandrabose murder case will be handed over to the CBI, if the family of the victim demands for it, Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala has informed the Assembly.

The government’s aim is to ensure that Nisham gets maximum punishment. The minister was responding to the submission made by P A Madhavan, seeking a CBI inquiry into the project.

“The DGP of vigilance wing dealing with financial frauds has been asked to probe the illegal wealth, if any, that is owned by the accused. I appreciate the alertness shown by media in Nisham’s case but it is time to examine how the media trial has been helping the accused,” the minister added.
