MLA’s son draws a blank on Nisham’s gun

THRISSUR: When asked about the gun Chandrabose murder case accused Nisham Muhammed was having with him, he said it was given to him by a Bangalore MLA’s son. In early last month, Nisham was taken to Bangalore to the MLA’s house to confirm this but the MLA’s son washed his hands of the issue, saying he had not given Nisham the gun.

When Chandrabose was attacked, Nisham had reportedly asked his wife to bring the gun.  But the police is now silent about the gun. In the raid conducted as part of the investigation, the police had found a photo of Nisham carrying a gun. Later police confirmed that Nisham didn’t  possess a gun licence.

After returning from Bangalore with Nisham, the police said that the accused hadn’t cooperated well in the investigation. In an  earlier case also, Nisham is alleged to have used his gun to threaten his victims. The case was under the jurisdiction of Viyyur police station.  The MLA’s son is said to have helped Nisham in solving many cases there.

Meanwhile, Nisham wishes to be held in police remand in Bangalore as there are many people there to help him at political and police level. The media there is also not keen about Nisham but that is not the case in Kerala.
