Biju Radhakrishnan's CD claim turns out to be farce

COIMBATORE: Solar scam accused and murder convict Biju Radhakrishnan along with the team constituted by the Solar Commission reached Shelvapuram near Coimbatore on Thursday night and searched the house of one woman called Selvi. However, the search was in vain as nothing as claimed by Biju could be found inside the house.

Selvi’s house is Number 3 house in Selvapuram North Housing Colony. Though Biju and advocates ransacked the house for about 15 minutes, the CD claimed to be containing the clippings that showed certain politicians in the bad light could not be recovered.

For a long time in the past, Biju reportedly had lived in this house with Mavelikkara native Chandran.

However, the team continued its CD search again. Selvi, who came later to the house, handed over one bag to the police, saying that it belonged to Biju. Inside the bag, the police could neither find any CD nor pen drive. There were only a few SIM cards and documents. Selvi said Biju had left the bag in her safe custody one and half years ago and she had never opened it to see what was inside it. She also said she didn’t know Saritha S Nair.

Meanwhile, Biju tried to argue that someone might have stolen the CD. After this, as if enough was enough, the team wrapped up their ‘search mission’ and returned to Kerala.

The Commission’s team comprised six persons including four policemen and one advocate. A team led by Special branch DySP Sunil Kumar also accompanied the team.
