NEYYATTINKARA: A rabid dog yesterday evening bit nine persons including school student at Keezharoor Perumkada Vila. The incident happened a 4 pm.
The dog first bit Archa, a sixth standard student of Keezharoor UP School, who was returning home from school. After that the dog ran to Keezharoor junction and bit one Vidhyadharan and his wife Tulasi. After that Karimbalakkuzhi natives Sunil, Anitha, Jisha and Ramani also became the victims of the dog bite.
The dog also bit about 15 goats and bovines on its way. Johny and Shaji were the two persons who were bitten by the dog, while they were killing the dog. They got the bite on their heads.
By about 8 in the night, the locals gathered together, identified the dog and clubbed it to death. The injured were first admitted to Perunkadavila Primary health centre and later shifted to General Hospital.
