THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The statement of IPS officers have not put the government in bad light, said Chief Minister Oommen Chandy. No internal fight exists amongst the officials and there is no disunity among them, he informed the assembly.
The chief minister had earlier stated that the open statements of DGP Jacob Thomas soon after he was shifted from the chief of fire force and bar case had put the government in the dock. The chief minister has now changed his statement. Not only that, the chief secretary had also recommended to the government not to take action against Jacob Thomas.
Jacob Thomas’ has not mentioned my name in the report given to Lok Ayuktha in the Pattor land deal case. The report has not mentioned any of the ministers’ names. The opposition is levelling baseless allegations. The breaking news carried by the media contained my name. The Lok Ayuktha, Supreme Court and the High Court had rejected the case earlier, the chief minister said.
