BJP flays CPM for extending support to Pranab

KOZHIKODE: Flaying the CPI (M) for extending support to Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee in the Presidential race, the BJP said with the move it has denigrated into a 'B team' of the Congress in the country. Talking to newspersons here, BJP state president V Muraleedharan said by offering support to Mukherjee, whom the party had described as an 'agent of corporate lobby' disqualified itself to be called as an opposition party of the country. With both the CPI (M) and the Congress voting for a common candidate, the BJP has emerged the sole opposition party in the state, he said. By offering support to a person, who was part of the ruling (UPA) at the Centre, the CPI (M) has also proved that its anti-Congress stance was hollow, he alleged.
