CPI (M) to stage protest march to DYSP office

IDUKKI: The CPI (M) will stage a protest march to the DySP office here on June 12 demanding withdrawal of cases against party District Secretary M M Mani. Addressing a press conference here, Mani said the party would stage the protest march demanding withdrawal of cases, and filing charge sheet against Congress-leaders responsible for the murder of CPI (M) leaders and a SFI leader in the district.

He said he would appear before the investigation team, which had asked him to appear before it following his open statement accepting party's role in various murders in the district, after considering legal and political aspects on the issue. To a question on Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi's demand for action against Mani, he said Modi has no right to seek action against him as thousands of people were murdered in his state during his tenure.
