Kunjananthan plea hearing on Saturday

The District and Sessions Court here has decided to take up for consideration the petition for anticipatory bail filed by P K Kunjananthan, one of the suspects in the T P Chandrasekharan murder case, on June 16.

The court issued directions to produce the case diary and details regarding the case before it on June 16.

Advocate K Viswan, who filed the anticipatory bail petition on behalf of Kunjananthan, stated in the plea for anticipatory bail that the police had filed no cases against his client and that he was likely to be harassed physically and mentally by the police.

Responding to the plea, Additional District Government Pleader Johnson sought time to examine the case file and details regarding the petition for anticipatory bail.
