TP Murder: One more accused M.C. Anoop arrested



KOZHIKODE: The special investigation team (SIT) probing the murder of RMP leader T.P. Chandrasekharan has arrested one more person M.C. Anoop of the seven-member team  that allegedly hacked him to death.


M C Anoop was arrested in Bangalore and brought to Vatakara. He is the third person after Sijith and T.K. Rajeesh of the gang to be arrested. SIT had arrested Sijith from Mysore in May and the key accused T K Rajeesh from Maharashtra early this month.


Anoop was the person who drove the Innova car used by the quotation gang. Sijith and Rajeesh, who were arrested earlier, revealed to the police that Anoop also had hacked T.P. Chandrasekharan.


Anoop who was an RSS activist, joined the CPI (M). He had been working as a driver of private bus and tipper lorry. It was according to the instruction of T.K. Rajeesh that Anoop hit Chandrasekharan’s motorbike with the Innova car.


There are altogether five cases against Anoop in Kannur district.


Meanwhile, three witnesses identified T.K. Rajeesh at the identification parade which was held in the presence of Kozhikode Judicial Magistrate.
