13 injured in Goods auto-bus collision

VITHURA: A KSRTC bus on Tuesday rammed a goods auto from which fish was being sold, injuring 13 persons.

The incident happened at around 7 am at a sharp turn at Vithura Sivankovil junction. One Sujathan was selling fish from the goods auto when the bus which was speeding towards Palode from Vithura banged against the auto, dragging it about 150 metres forward. At that moment, another KSRTC bus came and hit the backside of the bus. Among the injured, the condition of two persons is serious.
   
The fish seller Sujathan 36, and the customer Muhammed Banzeer, 47, are the persons with serious injuries and they have been admitted to Medical college hospital. Eleven people in the bus also sustained minor injuries and they have been admitted to Vithura government hospital.
