KALLARA: A 14-yr-old boy, who had gone missing from his Palode home with his parent’s car, gold and cash, was found in Kovalam, Tuesday morning. It was Ashiq, the son of Illyaskunju of Palode Jawar colony, who went missing on Monday. He had gone to sleep with his parents and in the morning, they found their son missing.
The boy had left behind a letter which said that he need not be searched and that he was taking the Ertiga car, 10 sovereign gold and Rs 2000 with him. The Palode police filed a case today morning and started inquiring when Ashiq was spotted by Kovalam SI Ansalam.
The police version is: Ashiq reached East Fort in his car and slept inside the car. Early morning he got acquainted with a Kovalam guide and together they reached Kovalam. He pledged the gold for Rs 30,000 and in the night slept inside the car after parking it inside the parking area.
Today morning Kovalam SI and team found the boy during the patrol. Based on suspicion they questioned him, when he spilled the beans.
Rs 30000 have been recovered from Ashiq and the police are also searching for the guide who had tried to help him get the money. The parents have been informed. The police team which included Sureshkumar, Sathyaraj, Anil Kumar and Jayaraj had questioned Ashiq.
