Operation of two generators in Moolamattam stopped

IDUKKI: The operation of two generators (No 2 and 5) in Moolamattom powerhouse was stopped on Tuesday after they went faulty. As a consequence, there will be a shortage of 260 mega watt electricity in Kerala.

However, the KSEB officials feel that they can overcome this crisis by increasing the production of Moozhiyar powerhouse. Hence there will be no power cuts. The officials say that the faulty generators could be set right within two days.
