THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A five-member family in Kallayam here committed suicide on Saturday by consuming poison. The dead have been identified as Manoraharan Asari, wife Maheswari, wards Biju, Saju and Biju’s wife Krishnenthu, all hailing from Kizhakkemoola.
According to the police, the reason for the suicide is debt. Mohan Asari had made investments in share markets and he had accrued a huge debt on this account.
The bodies have been shifted to medical college hospital for post-mortem.
