KANNUR: Former MLA and CPM Kasargod District Committee member Advocate K Purushothaman died on Friday. He was 84. The death occurred at Pariyaram Medical College, where he was undergoing treatment for old age diseases. Karthiyayani Amma is his wife.
He was elected to Assembly from Uduma in 1980 and 1984 and he had been a Communist party member since 1948.
