Pinarayi is not CM candidate: Vaikom

KOTTAYAM: LDF convener Vaikom Viswan has dismissed the speculations that CPM politburo member Pinarayi Vijayan will be placed as the chief minister candidate of the Left in the coming assembly elections. Speaking to reporters here, Pinarayi said that LDF has not taken any decision on anybody's candidature or seats so far now. He added that there were many eligible candidates in LDF to become chief minister and Pinarayi was one among them. He was responding to the queries on a comment made by CPM central committee member E P Jayarajan in a television interview that LDF will project Pinarayi Vijayan as the CM candidate in the next assembly elections. Meanwhile, Viswan refused to comment on Jayarajan remarks on V S Achuthanandan in the same television interview.
