Burglary at PKV’s house
KOCHI: Burglars barged into the ancestral house of former chief minister and CPI leader P K Vasudevan Nair and decamped with gold ornaments weighing about nine sovereigns. The theft came to light on Monday when Sharada Mohan, PKV’s daughter and her husband returned home after a three-day trip to Thiruvananthapuram. On returning, they found that the iron grills near the main door was broken and the gold kept in the safe missing. Sharada then alerted the police and a team from the Kuruppampady police station reached the crime scene to carry out preliminary investigations.
