VISAKHAPATNAM: It is hinted that opposition leader V S Achuthanandan is likely to be exempted from the central committee of the CPM. The stalwart is exempted from the central committee as part of the move to avoid veterans above 80. The decision is being taken as they are not interested in relaxing the age limit for a particular individual. Instead the veteran will be made a special invitee in the central committee.
As part of the age limit being made mandatory, there are chances for the exemption of Paloli Mohammed Kutty from the central committee. Instead A K Balan and G Sudhakaran will find place in it.
It was earlier reported that VS would not be completely exempted from the central committee. VS had obtained relaxation at the last Kozhikode party Congress and so the fingers are crossed as to what will happen in Visakhapatnam.
