KOCHI: Court staff have come out in support of Chief Judicial Magistrate N V Raju who allegedly didn't record the secret statements given by Solar scam accused Saritha S Nair. They on Thursday gave statements to the Commission inquiring Solar Case.
Shirastedar and bench clerk disclosed before the commission that Saritha had not revealed any name including that of ministers before the CJM. But they agreed that Magistrate had not recorded the statements of Saritha.
“Saritha had said that there was threat to her life. But she didn’t say that ministers or political leaders had sexually harassed her. In the deposition that lasted for 20 minutes, what Sartiha said was about her home affairs. She said her mother, grandmother and daughter were at home and they would be in trouble without her. She also informed the magistrate that there was threat to her life. But Raju had not recorded any of these statement,” the court staff told the Commission.
It was on July 20, 2013 the incident related to the case took place when Saritha said that she had to make some secret depositions while she was presented in the Ernakulam Ravipuram court dealing with financial crimes.
