THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:The government has decided to cancel the appointment of teachers in the Kerala University. The appointment of 20 teachers would be cancelled. The government decided to cancel it after the reservation criteria was found sabotaged.
It was Syndicate member Jyothi Kumar who lodged a complaint to the government. Following that, the education minister had sought an investigation on the complaint. The probe conducted noticed that the amendment and directions in the appointment were ignored by the university. The government had released an order in 2013 that the appointment should be as per reservation. The higher education secretary directed the university vice chancellor to cancel the appointment after the reservation norms were not followed.
