VS against revoking suspension of Firoz

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Opposition leader V S Achuthanandan came down heavily against revoking the suspension of PRD former director A Firoz. He requested to withdraw the decision.

The government took the decision to reinstate Firoz, accused in the ADB loan fraud case, two days back following the direction of a panel led by the chief secretary. However, an appointment has not been given to him so far.

He was arrested for cheating a builder promising him an ADB loan. Saritha S Nair and Biju Radhakrishnan are the other accused in the case.

Firoz was suspended on June 19 in 2013 after he was named accused in the case. Chief secretary Jiji Thomson had stated that his suspension is revoked based on the court order.
