KOCHI: One more immigration officer has been arrested for smuggling gold via Nedumbassery airport. Jeffin K Basheer of Moovattupuzha was arrested from Thrissur A R Camp.
Jeffin, who was in the police department was on deputation as immigration assistant.
He was arrested for helping Noushad of Moovattupuzha and his team in smuggling gold via airport. 28 persons were arrested in connection with the case.
