KOCHI: Evidence proving the role of land revenue former commissioner T O Sooraj in the Kalamassery and grab case has not been obtained in the polygraph test conducted. He was asked 12 questions in the examination conducted at the forensic lab in Chennai. When asked many questions including whether he knew Salim Raj, he said ‘no’. The test result conducted would be soon handed over to the CBI.
Though the result would not be accepted by the court as evidence, it would be useful for the investigation. The CBI has noticed that the order released by Sooraj when he was the land revenue commissioner cancelling the thandaper of 1.16 acres of land worth 25 crore at Thrikkakkara Pathadippalm is the reason for all the irregularities.
The CBI is examining whether anyone’s persuasion is behind the steps taken by Sooraj. The polygraph test conducted has not given any information to prove his statement as wrong. Meantime, the investigating team is planning to subject him for a brain mapping examination as nothing has been obtained from the polygraph test.
