THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: I G Suresh Raj Purohit will probe the findings of the Crime Branch that an attempt has been made to sabotage the Paravur Sex scandal case. DGP T P Senkumar , who had been instructed by Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala to conduct inquiry into the new finding, informed this on Friday.
The Crime branch had found out that Assistant Special Prosecutor Ayub Khan had taken crores of rupees as bribe from the sex scam accused in order to torpedo the case.
The Crime branch had seized evidence including telephonic conversations and video clippings of Ayub demanding crores as bribe. Special Prosecutor Mohan Menon had appointed Ayub as Assistant Prosecutor. Ayub was shunted out from his post after it was officially confirmed that he had tried to influence the accused and agents involved in the scam.
