Student dies after being run over by JCB

PEROORKADA: An 18-year-old plus two student was killed on the spot and her two friends’ sustained injuries after a JCB knocked them down at a place in between Peroorkada and Vazhayila Monday morning. The dead has been identified as Athira, daughter of Prasanan of Kachani.  

The JCB ran over Athira when she fell on the road after an auto hit the scooter she was travelling in along with the two sisters-Ashwathy and Athulya. She died on the spot itself. The other two are undergoing treatment at the Peroorkada hospital. The two sisters, who were on their way to the college, gave her a lift. Her body is kept in the mortuary of the medical college hospital.
