THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Three KSRTC buses including a Super-Fast bus collided, injuring about 25 persons. The incident happened today morning at 8 near Venjaramoodu-Pirappincode Thycaud junction.
The mishap occurred after a pick-up van that was running in front of the bus applied a sudden brake. This led to the collision of all three buses one behind the other.
The buses were proceeding from Ernakulam, Rani and Punalur depots to Thiruvananthapuram. Twenty persons with injuries have been admitted to Medical College hospital here and the rest have been admitted to Thycaud St Joseph hospital. The injuries are not serious.

Pushpangadan (62), Raghunadhan (42) from Punalur, Rajitha (39) from Kilimanoor, Sashdharan Pillai (52) from Kattupuram, Shanthi Geroge (54) from Adoor, Sasidharan Pillai (71) from Kunnathoor, Surya Sreekumar (28), Suresh Kumar (55) from Vakkom, Suresh (44) from Kalliyur, Vijayan (55) from Anchal, and Vineesh (25) from Pathanamthitta have been admitted to Medical College hospital. However, the driver of the pick-up van ran away from scene.
