KOLLAM: A man was killed on the spot after a speeding mini lorry struck his scooter on the national highway at Mailakkad. He has been identified as Suresh (45), a native of Amaravila and a painting employee.
The mini lorry proceeding to Kollam from Navaikkulam rammed his Activa scooter at 8.30 am Wednesday morning. In the impact, he fell from the scooter and died on the spot itself. The lorry driver fled the place soon after the incident.
