MALAPPURAM: In the case in which a teacher from Malappuram committed suicide, the manager of the school in which he was working was arrested and later released on bail on Saturday.
It was Munniyar school manager V P Saithalavi and PTA president K T Hyderali who were arrested by Palakkad Crime Branch. They were granted bail as they had got anticipatory bail from the high court.
Munniyoor school teacher Aneesh (36) was seen to have committed suicide in a lodge in Palakkad. There was a complaint that he had attacked the school manager and peon. Based on a fake medical document that there was deep injury on the peon’s head, Aneesh was dismissed from the school.
Distraught Aneesh checked into the lodge and committed suicide by slashing his wrist. Though the DySp who was investigating the case was transferred later, the home minister intervened and cancelled the transfer.
