Wednesday, June 29, 2011: All India Students Federation (AISF) has called for a state-wide education strike as a protest against the police action on the activists who staged a protest march in front of the Assembly on Wednesday. The protest march was held in connection with the self-financing issue in the state.
The protestors tried to jump the police barricade erected in front of the Assembly. The police used water cannon and lathicharged the protestors to disperse the agitated mob. Several activists were seriously hurt in the police action.

why are these fool students agitating now at this stage, when the matter is yet to heard by the High Court and the Supreme Court.It is the court who has to decide. What does the government have to do with it.Students should have shown some more sense or is this deliberate
The agitation by the students played a major role in the Government decision to go to court.
