Sunday :CPM in Kerala came out against the UDF government’s decision on official transfers in police and other government departments calling it a “violation” of norms.
In a statement here, the CPM state secretariat said the transfers amounted to “sabotage of law.”
Police officials who were probing into cases against ministers in the UDF cabinet were transferred, the statement claimed, adding, Ministers M K Muneer, P K Kunhalikutty and Adoor Prakash were facing charges in various cases.
“This is an attempt to weaken the investigations into the charges,” it said.
Transfers in departments of Public Works, Local Fund, Fisheries, Industries, Health and Planning are also a violation of norms, the statement charged.
The Oommen Chandy government was trying to “reinstate the corruption-transfers” of the previous 1982-87 UDF government, the CPM alleged.
