Wednesday, June 29, 2011: The Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (VACB) today submitted the FIR in a case relating to the irregularities in purchasing gunny bags to Malabar Cements Ltd. There are nine accused including controversial industrialist VM Radhakrishnan in the case. The charge sheet said the contract was given without the prior approval of the board of directors of the company. The officials accepted the offer made by V.M. Radhakrishnan, contractor named in the charge sheet.
