LDF to launch anti-corruption campaign

Tuesday, June 21, 2011: The Left Democratic Front (LDF), as part of its national-level anti-corruption campaign against the Union government, will launch a movement against the “corrupt and anti-people policies of the State government in the State” from July 15 to 21, Convenor Vaikom Viswan has said.
Briefing reporters about the decisions taken at an LDF meeting here on Monday, Viswan accused the United Democratic Front (UDF) government of attempting to reverse the achievements made by the State in various sectors.
The government has given free rein to the self-financing medical colleges to levy exorbitant fee from students, Viswan said.
