Friday, June 17, 2011: Muslim Educational Society (MES) president, P.K. Fasal Gafoor today criticized the government- Inter Church Council’s (ICC) decision to retain present fee structure for the self-financing medical colleges coming under ICC. Speaking to the reporters here on Friday, Gafoor added that the State government was taking a favorable stand towards the ICC and this cannot be accepted.
The self-financing medical colleges coming under the Inter Church Council will retain the present fee structure. The decision regarding this was taken in a meeting held between the Cabinet sub committee and the Inter Church Council delegates.
An integrated system will be implemented for the admissions for the next academic year. The Inter Church Council has been asked to submit the suggestions to the government within a month.
Minister for Finance and Law, KM Mani, Educational Minister PK Abdu Rabb, Mnister for Water Resources, PJ Joseph, and Minister Adoor Prakash, attended the meeting.
