Friday, June 24, 2011: Opposition leader VS Achuthanandan has today written to Chief Minister Oommen Chandy seeking the details of the discussions between the government and the TECOM authorities on the much proposed Smart city project in Kochi. Achuthanandan has also requested Chandy to inform on the details of the changes made in central SEZ rules applicable to the project.
Achuthanandan on Thursday said that the new decisions on Smart City taken at the meeting of director board were against the interests of the State. VS said this would bring down the job opportunities.
