CPM would soon launch a nation-wide campaign focussing on the corruption involving ruling politicians, bureaucracy and big corporates, its General Secretary Prakash Karat said today.
As the civil society and the government were busy discussing the Lokpal Bill, no political party or organization had thought of exposing the nexus between the trio resulting in “large scale corruption” he told reporters here.
“Unless you expose the nexus between ruling politician, bureaucracy and corporates, you would not be able to tackle corruption,” he said adding the date for campaign would be announced at a meeting in Delhi soon.
Claiming that the government was not serious about the Lokpal bill, he said CPM had already made it clear the draft of the bill, with a provision to bring the Prime Minister under its purview, should get the consent of political parties and placed in Parliament for passage.
