Lottery Case :VD Satheesan threaten to move court

Saturday, June 18, 2011: Senior Congress leader V.D. Satheeshan, MLA, today alleged that a move is on to sabotage the CBI probe into the large-scale irregularities in the functioning of other state lotteries in the state. Speaking to the reporters here on Saturday, Satheeshan added that the lorry mafia will try to influence the investigation in the case.
He also threatened to approach Court if the investigation process was misdirected in any way.
Satheeshan opined that the charges leveled against him in connection with the misappropriation of MLA fund, were baseless. He added that the fund was allotted for the construction of library complex for District Court Bar association at Paravur as per the norms.
The Thrissur Vigilance Court had on Friday ordered an inquiry against Senior Congress leader V.D. Satheeshan, MLA, in connection with the alleged misappropriation of MLA fund.
The Court ordered for a vigilance probe while hearing on a plea filed by Vijayan Pillai, a resident of Paravur. The plea was filed pointing out that Satheeshan had allegedly misused the MLA fund.
